Usage

What you used with Claude Code on this PC, where and on which model, over weeks and months.

Open Usage in the side menu, under History. Every figure is an estimate at API prices from Claude Code's logs, marked ~. On a Claude subscription you don't pay per token, so the figure shows what the same work would cost on an API key.

Pick a range

Pick This week, This month (the default), Last month or Custom. Weeks start on Monday. Custom takes a From and a To date, both included; Show stays off until both are set and the start is on or before the end. The top line gives the total, for example ~$412.30 · 18.2M tokens · 1 Oct – 19 Oct.

The chart has one bar per day, or one per week for ranges longer than 62 days (31 days on a phone). Cost and Tokens switch what the bars measure. Point at a bar, or tap the chart on a phone, to see that day's cost, tokens and the repo most of it went to. Token figures leave out cache reads, as everywhere in ratchet; the cost includes them.

By repo, model and account

Under the chart, By repo, By model and By account list the cost, its share and the tokens, largest first. By account shows when the range has two or more accounts. Click a row to filter the whole page to it, for example client-a ×. Click it again or its chip to remove it, or press Clear filters. You can filter by one row in each list at the same time.

A session counts to the git repo its folder belongs to, worktrees included, and stays there after the worktree is removed. Sessions outside a git repo count to No repo. Two repos with the same name show with their parent folder, for example work/api and home/api. A model ratchet has no price for shows price unknown and adds nothing to the cost.

Does your plan pay off?

Pick each account's plan once in Settings → Claude accounts: Pro · $20, Max 5x · $100, Max 20x · $200, Team or Enterprise, API key (pay per token) or Not set. ratchet pre-selects what Claude reports, marked from Claude. Claude says Max but not 5x or 20x, so a Max account asks you to pick.

For This month and Last month, the page then compares the whole month with what you pay, for example October so far: ~$412 of usage at API prices on your $100 Max 5x plan · 4.1× what you pay. A Team or Enterprise plan has no monthly price to compare, and with an API key the estimate is close to your bill, so those lines say that instead. With two or more accounts it shows one line per account and a total. The line hides while a filter is on.

Your history on this PC

ratchet keeps a small daily record on your PC: tokens and estimated cost per day, account, repo and model. The first time, it counts every Claude Code session still on disk in the background, with Counting your history… 42% above the chart. Claude Code deletes old sessions after 30 days by default; the days already counted stay in the record.

When a range starts before the record, the page says so, for example Your history on this PC starts 19 Sep 2026. The record holds no prompts, chat text, file names or branches, and it never leaves your PC except to your own paired phone. On a phone, Usage is under This PC; plans can be changed only on the PC.
